Monitoring of prices for main food products according to “Kazagromarketing” JSC for the period from April 7 to 14, 2015 by regions.
During the reporting period in the line of grocery products:
– Pearl barley fell in Astana by 14% from 133 to 115 tenge/kg. Increase in retail sales of volume of cheaper products sold by weight and a decrease in wholesale prices by 31% from 80 to 55 tenge/kg led to cheaper cereals;
– Wheat cereal has risen in Astana by 14% from 138 to 158 tenge/kg. The rise in prices is associated with an increase in wholesale prices by suppliers by 30% from 50 to 65 tenge/kg.
In the line of meat products:
– pork fell in Petropavlovsk by 10% from 1000 to 900 tenge/kg. The decrease in price indices is due to the saturation of the market with products and wholesale prices decline by suppliers by 10% from 830 to 750 tenge/kg.
In the line of dairy products a significant (more than 10%) price changes did not happen.
In the line of fruits and vegetables the following price changes were noted:
– Grape rose in Astana by 11% from 831 to 920 tenge/kg. Higher prices are resulted by reduction in the supply of products, wholesale prices, on the other hand, for the week decreased by 5% from 670 to 636 tenge/kg;
– Cucumbers in Astana fell by 17% from 539 to 448 tenge/kg and in Petropavlovsk by 17% from 480 to 400 tenge/kg. The increase in supply and a decrease in wholesale prices in Astana by 3% from 375 to 365 tenge/kg and in Petropavlovsk by 25% from 400 to 300 tenge/kg led to cheaper products;
– Onion rose in Ust-Kamenogorsk by 15% from 114 to 131 tenge/kg, in Astana by 13% from 106 to 120 tenge/kg, in Almaty by 11% from 111 to 123 tenge/kg. Seasonal rise in prices is associated with the reduction of products reserves and an increase in the costs of pre-sale storage. Wholesale prices for the week increased in Ust-Kamenogorsk by 19% from 108 to 128 tenge/kg, in Astana by 15% from 85 to 98 tenge/kg, in Almaty by 17% from 63 to 74 tenge/kg;
– Cabbage has risen in Aktobe by 55% from 103 to 160 tenge/kg and in Pavlodar by 10% from 100 to 110 tenge/kg. Seasonal rise in prices is associated with the reduction of products reserves and an increase in the costs of pre-sale storage. Wholesale prices for the week increased in Aktobe by 38% from 87 to 120 tenge/kg, in Pavlodar by 11% from 90 to 100 tenge/kg;
– Carrots rose in Karaganda by 13% from 96 to 108 tenge/kg. Seasonal rise in prices is associated with the reduction of products reserves and an increase in the costs of pre-sale storage. Wholesale prices for the week increased by 13% from 80 to 90 tenge/kg;
– Beet has risen in Ust-Kamenogorsk by 11% from 117 to 130 tenge/kg. Seasonal rise in prices associated with the reduction of products reserves and an increase in the costs of pre-sale storage. Wholesale prices remained unchanged – 100 tenge/kg;
– Pepper rose in Astana by 11% from 644 to 718 tenge/kg. The reduction in supply and an increase in wholesale prices by 11% from 550 to 611 tenge/kg led to a rise in the cost of products;
– Mandarins rose in Aktobe by 22% from 314 to 383 tenge/kg. The reduction in supply and an increase in wholesale prices by 20% from 250 to 300 led to a rise in the cost of products;
In the line of fish products:
– crucian carp rose in Aktobe by 14% from 250 to 285 tenge/kg. The rise in prices is due to higher wholesale prices by 5% from 190 to 200 tenge/kg and the beginning of the ban on the catch of fish;
– Carp rose in Aktobe by 13% from 425 to 480 tenge/kg. The rise in prices is due to higher wholesale prices by 6% from 350 to 370 tenge/kg and the beginning of the ban on the catch of fish.
“Kazagromarketing” JSC on a weekly basis (Tuesday) monitors prices on 66 kinds of food in all regional centers and cities of Astana and Almaty.
