Monitoring of prices for main food products according to “Kazagromarketing” JSC for the period from November 25 to December 2 by regions:
For the period under consideration in all region prices for dairy and meat products had no significant (more than 10%) changes.
In the line of grocery products there is a rise in prices for buckwheat. This week due to the increase in wholesale prices by suppliers of products, buckwheat has risen in Astana by 60% from 222 to 356 tenge/kg, in Taldykorgan by 12% from 161 to 180 tenge/kg.
Tomatoes rose in Taraz by 19% from 201 to 240 tenge/kg, in Uralsk by 15% from 260 to 300 tenge/kg. Rising prices for tomatoes is associated with an increase in wholesale prices by suppliers and an increase in the supply of more expensive imported products on the market.
The reduction in the supply of products and increase in wholesale prices led to higher prices for cucumbers in Taraz by 32% from 151 to 200 tenge/kg, in Astana by 25% from 364 to 456 tenge/kg, in Kokshetau by 14% from 283 to 322 tenge/kg, in Aktobe by 12% from 257 to 287 tenge/kg, in Uralsk by 12% from 235 to 263 tenge/kg.
Grapes for the week rose in price in Shymkent by 11% from 360 to 400 tenge/kg and in Astana by 10% from 523 to 575 tenge/kg. The reason is seasonal rise in prices associated with reduction in sales volume of lower-cost domestic producers (completion of stocks) and an increase of more expensive imported grapes.
The reduction in supply of cheaper ground pepper from domestic producers (completion of stocks) and increase in wholesale prices have led to higher prices for pepper in Almaty by 24% from 306 to 379 tenge/kg. On sale now increases the amount of more expensive greenhouse peppers from foreign manufacturers.
The increase in the supply of cheaper tangerines and decrease of wholesale prices led to their cheapening in Petropavlovsk by 10% from 400 to 360 tenge/kg.
Eggplants for the period rose in Almaty by 19% from 325 to 386 tenge/kg and Taldykorgan by 12% from 210 to 235 tenge/kg, due to the reduction of groundwater eggplants and substitution with more expensive imported greenhouse production.
