As part of implementation of appointment of Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NC Food Contract Corporation JSC completed a program to provide grain to Kazakhstan flour mills and poultry farms until a new crop is received.
The amount of grain needed was determined during negotiations with all akimats of the country’s regions (with the exception of three grain-sowing), as well as with Poultry Industry Union and Egg Producers Association. As a result, the total demand for wheat was declared in the amount of 212 thousand tons: 50 thousand tons for poultry farms and 162 thousand tons for flour mills.
The grain was sold through the ETS (Eurasian Trading System Commodity Exchange JSC) from May to July this year in a double counter auction mode.
For these purposes, the exchange created separate sections for poultry farms and flour milling organizations. Poultry farms, defined by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as flour mills, determined by akimats of the regions, took part in the auction.
As a result of the auction, the Food Contract Corporation sold 66.1 thousand tons of wheat: flour mills – 35.6 thousand tons and poultry farmers – 30.5 thousand tons.
